Services & Capabilities
What services does Panda Prints offer?
Panda Prints is a full-service custom printing shop in Kennesaw, GA. We do custom embroidery, DTF (direct-to-film) apparel printing, laser engraving, sublimation, signage and banners, business cards, promotional goods, and web and graphic design, all under one roof.
What is DTF printing and why should I choose it?
DTF (direct-to-film) printing transfers full-color designs onto apparel with a soft, durable finish. It works on cotton, polyester, and blends, handles photo-real designs and gradients better than screen printing, and has no real minimum, making it perfect for one-off shirts or small batches.
What items can you laser engrave?
We engrave tumblers, drinkware, cutting boards, keychains, glassware, coasters, and custom acrylic or wood signs. Engraving is permanent and won’t peel, fade, or wash off.
What is sublimation and what items can be sublimated?
Sublimation infuses dye directly into a polyester surface, so the design becomes part of the item rather than sitting on top. We sublimate tumblers, ornaments, keychains, mugs, and other poly-coated items, and designs are vibrant, full-color, and won’t crack or peel. Sublimation only works on light-colored polyester or poly-coated items, so for cotton shirts or dark fabrics we recommend DTF instead.
Pricing, Minimums & Deposits
Do you have a minimum order quantity? Can you do single-item or one-off orders?
No minimums on any service. Whether you need single-item embroidery, one engraved tumbler, one DTF shirt, or one custom mug, we’ll print it, and we’re one of the few shops in Kennesaw that genuinely says yes to one-offs. Bulk pricing kicks in as quantities scale, so visit our shop or request a quote for specifics.
How much does custom embroidery cost?
Embroidery pricing depends on stitch count, garment type, and quantity. Single pieces typically run $12 to $25 per item, with volume discounts at 6, 12, and 24+ units. Check the shop for set pricing or request a quote for a custom job.
What is the average cost of a DTF print?
The average cost of a DTF print depends on the size of the design and how many you order. Our DTF pricing is tiered by quantity and print size, with options visible directly in the shop, single shirts, small batches, and bulk orders all have their own brackets. For multi-shirt orders, larger designs, or specialty placements, request a quote and we’ll send a price the same business day.
What’s the difference between DTF and screen printing?
Screen printing uses physical screens for each ink color, which makes it cheap per shirt at high quantities (50+) but expensive for small runs because of setup fees. DTF prints directly from a digital file, so there are no setup fees and one-off shirts are affordable, with full photo-quality color. For most Kennesaw and metro Atlanta customers ordering under 50 shirts, DTF wins on price, speed, and color flexibility.
What’s the difference between DTF and sublimation?
DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, and dark fabrics (including black shirts) and feels like a slight soft layer on top of the garment. Sublimation only works on light-colored polyester or poly-coated items, and the design becomes part of the fabric so there’s zero hand-feel. If you need cotton t-shirts or anything dark, DTF is the answer; if you want vibrant polyester sports jerseys, mugs, or tumblers, sublimation is better. The tradeoff with DTF is that hand-feel, and screen printing still beats it at very large orders of 100+ identical shirts.
Are there setup fees or digitizing fees?
Embroidery has a one-time digitizing fee per logo (typically $25 to $50) so your design stitches cleanly. There are no recurring setup fees for DTF, sublimation, or laser engraving, you only pay for production.
Do you require a deposit?
We collect payment in full upfront on all orders. This locks in your spot in production, covers materials, and lets us start the same day on approved artwork.
Turnaround & Rush Orders
How long does it take to embroider something or finish a custom order?
Standard turnaround is 3 to 5 business days from artwork approval and payment, whether it’s embroidery, DTF, laser engraving, or sublimation. Embroidery on customer-supplied garments and large multi-decoration orders can take slightly longer, we’ll always give you a firm completion date when we quote your job.
Do you offer rush orders?
Yes. We regularly handle next-day and same-week rush orders for events, last-minute team gear, and emergency reorders in the Kennesaw and metro Atlanta area. Rush fees vary by service and timeline, call (954) 625-9374 and we’ll work it out.
Can you hit a specific deadline for an event?
Absolutely. Tell us your event date when you request a quote and we’ll either confirm we can hit it or tell you exactly what’s possible. We’d rather turn down a job than miss your deadline.
Ordering Process & Payment
How do I place an order?
You can order directly through our online shop, request a custom quote for specialized work, or call (954) 625-9374. Most quotes go out the same business day.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers for invoiced orders. Payment in full is required before production starts.
Will I see a proof before you print?
Yes. For any custom decoration we send a digital mockup for approval before production. Nothing gets printed, stitched, or engraved until you sign off in writing.
Can I make changes after I place the order?
You can revise artwork or sizing as long as we haven’t started production. Once a job is in production, changes may not be possible without restarting at additional cost, so review your proof carefully.
Artwork & Files
What file types do you accept for artwork?
We accept AI, EPS, PDF, PNG, and JPG. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best results, especially for embroidery and laser engraving. If all you have is a phone photo or a screenshot, send it anyway, we can usually work with it.
What if I don’t have a logo, or need my existing logo redrawn?
We offer in-house graphic design and can build a logo, layout your artwork, vectorize a raster logo, or clean up something you started. Basic design tweaks are free; full logo design and complex vectorizing run $25 to $50, and you keep the vector file for future orders.
Customer-Supplied Goods
Can I bring my own shirts, hats, or items to be decorated?
For embroidery and laser engraving, yes, bring your own garments, hats, tumblers, cutting boards, or items and we’ll decorate them. We do not decorate customer-supplied goods for DTF or sublimation, since those processes need specific blanks we stock in-house.
Is there any risk to bringing my own items?
Embroidery and engraving on customer-supplied goods carry a small risk because we can’t always predict how an unknown fabric or material will respond. We’re careful, but we can’t replace items damaged due to unknown material properties, tell us upfront if the item is irreplaceable.
Can you remove embroidery from a shirt or hat?
Sometimes yes. Embroidery removal works best on lighter-weight fabrics and small designs, and we can often pull stitches cleanly without damaging the garment. Heavier-weight knits and dense designs sometimes leave needle marks or a slight imprint behind. Bring the item by and we’ll tell you upfront whether it’s a clean job before we touch it.
Care, Durability & Guarantee
How should you wash a DTF printed t-shirt, and how long does it last?
Turn the shirt inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, and tumble dry low or hang dry. DTF shirts can go in the dryer on low heat, but do not bleach them and do not iron directly over the print (iron the inside of the shirt instead). Done right, DTF prints and our commercial-grade embroidery thread last hundreds of washes without cracking, peeling, or fading.
Will laser engraving wear off?
No. Laser engraving permanently marks the surface of the material, it can’t peel, fade, or wash off. It will look the same on day one and year ten.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes. If we made a mistake (wrong color, misspelled name, off-center placement, defective material), we reprint or remake it at no charge. Our goal is for you to recommend us to the next person.
